Buyers looking for a compact crossover that provides outstanding fuel economy, a pleasant cabin with lots of room for passengers and their stuff, and great safety scores should take a close look at the 2019 Nissan Rogue. According to car dealers near SLO, the Nissan Rogue gets a few changes for 2019. Several features are now standard, including automatic emergency braking, a rear door alert system, automatic high beams, and lane-departure warning and intervention. The SV and SL models pick up standard automatic braking with rear sonar. The SL gets Nissan ProPilot Assist, a feature that’s optional on the SV trim.
Buyers can choose the 2019 Nissan Rogue in one of three trim levels: S, SV and SL. There’s also a hybrid version of the Rogue and a smaller model called the Rogue Sport. We won’t be covering either of those models here. The 2019 Nissan Rogue employs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of twist, teamed to a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard across the lineup and all-wheel drive is optional. We’ll take a look at the three Rogue trim levels and see what buyers will get with each one.
The Nissan Rogue S is the entry-level model, but buyers will be happy with its long list of standard features, which includes 17-inch steel wheels, sliding and reclining 40/20/40-split folding rear seats, a rearview camera, a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB inputs and Bluetooth. The standard audio system comes with four speakers, a CD player and satellite radio. Safety features include rear cross-traffic alert, intelligent lane intervention, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights and a rearview camera. An optional Special Edition package adds heated outside mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated front seats.
The Rogue SV comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, heated side mirrors, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry, heated front seats, two-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a hands-free-opening liftgate, push-button start, roof rails and a six-speaker audio setup. Rear parking sensors and reverse automatic braking are also standard. The SV has two optional packages: The SV Premium package and the SV Sun and Sound package.
The top-line Rogue SL includes 19-inch wheels, driver-seat memory settings, leather upholstery, an integrated navigation system, a heated steering wheel, foglights, a nine-speaker Bose premium audio system, a surround-view camera system, NissanConnect and ProPilot Assist. The available SL Premium package adds a panoramic moonroof and LED headlights. The SL Platinum Reserve Interior package adds premium quilted leather upholstery.
