The 2019 Nissan Rogue is a small crossover that pleases buyers near San Luis Obispo area car dealers, thanks to its great fuel economy, spacious and inviting interior, ample room to store and stow cargo, and excellent safety scores. Considering the Rogue is available at such an economical price, you’ll be surprised at the quality of the build. Buyers get a lot of vehicle for their money.
According to the Cardinale Nissan a car dealership near SLO, the Nissan Rogue sees a few changes for 2019. Standard features now include automatic high beams, automatic emergency braking, a rear door alert system, and lane-departure warning and intervention. The SV and SL models now have automatic braking with rear sonar, while the top-of-the-line SL trim gets Nissan’s ProPilot Assist system. This feature is optional on the SV trim.
Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com wrote: “Nissan’s special sauce with the 2019 Rogue is its size. It’s perfect. The SUV is large enough to feel spacious inside and substantial on the road, but it’s also nicely compact, so it’s easy to park and it doesn’t feel like a barge around town. The Rogue’s ride quality is excellent, and it gives the SUV an overall relaxed gait, which most buyers in this segment will appreciate. Also, the Rogue’s cabin is quiet; even at highway speeds it keeps the sounds of the outside world outside.
Buyers can get the 2019 Nissan Rogue in one of three trim levels, listed as S, SV and SL. There are two other variants that we aren’t covering here: a hybrid model and a smaller vehicle called the Rogue Sport. The 2019 Nissan Rogue employs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, teamed to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive is standard across the lineup, and all-wheel drive is optional.
Inside the Rogue, you’ll find a surprising level of sophistication. The attractive cabin is replete with high-quality materials and there’s plenty of passenger space (105.8 cubic feet) for everyone to stretch their legs and stay comfortable. The front row has 34 inches of legroom and the rear features 37.9 inches. If the passengers need to stow some luggage or transport large objects, it’s no problem, as the Rogue provides 39.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear and a total of 70 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded.
Although the S is the base trim, it still comes with a long feature list that includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, blind-spot monitoring, active lane control and automatic emergency braking. There are several option packages available, including the SL Platinum Reserve Interior package, the SV Sun and Sound Touring package, the SL Premium package and the S Special Edition package.
Safety is important to anyone buying a new SUV for the family. Rogue buyers get the confidence that comes with knowing the vehicle is crashworthy. The 2019 Nissan Rogue received the top marks of Good in all IIHS crash tests, as well as the highest score of Superior for front crash prevention.
